Steph + Tom have been married for a year and to celebrate they decided they wanted to take some more photos!  We literally wandered around Los Angeles and had a blast!  I love how their personalities really came out in these photos!  They’re the most loving, silly, fun, cute couple ever!!!  I’m so glad you guys had a wonderful anniversary and I hope you have many more to come!!!  Thank you so much for letting me capture these moments!

We started off at the Bradbury Building where they shot a part of 500 Days of Summer!

I love this next set!

So silly!

CHARLOTTE + PHILLIP

October 5, 2009

Charlotte and Phillip are such an awesome couple.  I love hearing stories of my clients.  It’s funny how love can find each other from across the world.  Although they’re both originally from Hong Kong, they met each other when they ended up at the same college in Boston.  They’ve been together since college and both moved out to California where the weather is more forgiving =)

They’re getting married in Hong Kong, but I was excited to be able to do their engagement shoot!  Again I can’t emphasize enough how windy it is all the time at the beaches in NorCal!!!!  I’m just happy we were able to find little nooks where we could escape!

I need to mention how much I loved Charlotte’s hair!  Her make up artist did it in a way she had a updo at first and in the car she just took it out to have her hair long!  I thought it was so clever how she could have two different hairstyles in one session!!!  If you want the make up artists info here it is!  Stephanie Lau kawaiinee@yahoo.com

Now onto the photos!

I was beyond thrilled when Angela + Sam hired me to shoot their wedding!  There’s something so special when your own friends trust you with one of the most memorial events in their lives.  I’ve known them since my freshman year at UCI and can’t be more happy for them!

They flew me out and we had a great time frolicking around San Juan Capistrano and Crystal Cove with them!  We had a minor glitch when we found out we weren’t allowed to shoot inside the mission at San Juan Capistrano without a permit, but we still had an amazing time walking around and getting some awesome shots!  I even tried a date shake at the Shake Shack in Crystal Cove.  Who would’ve thought a shake made out of dates could actually taste good!  I cannot wait until November for your big day!

Probably one of my favs from the day!

Indeed, life is beautiful!

I promise, I don’t force my clients to jump…they always ask me for this pic!  I think everyone practices because I know I can’t jump this high!

April and Jason are the sweetest couple.  They’re very laid back and extremely kind to each other.  They’re from SoCal, but came up for memorial day weekend.  I love how Jason’s dad came and chauffeured us around and also held all their belongings!  Man, his dad can hike!  He would be 50 feet in front of us all the time and while we were all out of breath it seemed like a leisurely walk for him!

The day started off really foggy and we wanted to go to the city, but decided to just head over to Mt. Tamalpais since we weren’t sure about the weather.  Best choice ever!  The weather there was GORGEOUS!  As soon as we crossed the Golden Gate Bridge the sun came out and it was amazing.  We weren’t too sure where we were going either, but we found a spot and started hiking.  The fields were beautiful and we were so high the clouds were below us!  Thank you guys so much for “working” so hard for your photos!  I can’t wait to photograph your wedding in September!

April and Jason told me they were pretty worried about how they were not photogenic, but seriously they came out beautiful!!!!!

I love how the sun was only hitting their faces!  Makes for a cool composition!

They saw this really funny Korean music video and wanted to replicate a part of it!  It was so funny to do this!
