Sometimes you find a few people who will be your friends for life.  These three have been friends forever.  They wanted to do a surprise shoot to celebrate a birthday!  It was so fun to just hang out and capture their interactions.  Here’s to amazing lifelong friends!

I always get so excited when I get to revisit old clients!  What’s even more amazing is that I’m often able to walk with them through many of the most joyous moments in their lives!  I love that about what I do!  Back in 2008 when I was barely getting started and toying around with photography I got to shoot some images for their wedding.  You can see those humble images here.

Jen emailed me with great news and asked me to shoot their maternity session!  Since the session I can say she gave birth to a adorable baby girl who is growing and thriving!

Awhile back I was hired to photograph a 1st birthday in Orange County.  In Korean it’s called a Dol.  The first birthday is a huge celebration in the Korean culture.  I think it’s because a long time ago many of the babies didn’t live to see their first birthday so making it to this milestone was a big deal!

Emma’s dol was so much fun to photograph!  We did a quick family session first and then the celebration began!

During the Dol celebration they have a doljabi. The parents will place certain items in front of the baby and let them choose. This will supposedly show what their future career will be Emma went straight for the ball! Who knows she might become the next Kim Yuna!

Awhile back I did a shoot for a clothing store called Pretty In Pink, well low and behold my mom was out shopping the other day and she comes home with this!  The print advertisement for a new store location.  It was pretty awesome to see my photos printed for a real ad!

I LOVE love love animals! So how fun was it that I got to photograph a tortoise? After this I really wanted to get one of my own!

Meet Tommy!

Steph + Tom have been married for a year and to celebrate they decided they wanted to take some more photos!  We literally wandered around Los Angeles and had a blast!  I love how their personalities really came out in these photos!  They’re the most loving, silly, fun, cute couple ever!!!  I’m so glad you guys had a wonderful anniversary and I hope you have many more to come!!!  Thank you so much for letting me capture these moments!

I recently did a photo shoot for a clothing store called Pretty In Pink.  They sold really cute clothes and accessories for women, plus size, and children.  It had the vibe of a Forever21 store, but I felt like it was more organized.  There are two locations in NorCal.  One in San Lorenzo and one in Dublin if you’re ever looking for somewhere new to go!

I’m excited because some of the photos I took are going to be featured as an advertisement in East Bay Regal theaters during the pre-preview time!

What do you get when you have 9 people and 3 dogs to photograph?!  A totally awesome session with lots of chaos and laughs!

One of my favorites from this session!

Awhile back I had written about how I photographed this couple in hurricane like winds.  Well I was mistaken because I photographed the Jacobs family in even more hurricane force winds!  It was almost ridiculous how windy and cold it was that day although the sun was shining!!!  Next time I need to video a part of the session to give you guys a idea of the weather!  No one believes me when I tell them I photographed in crazy wind!  I gave them the option to reschedule, but they were real troopers.  I feel like all my clients end up working hard for their photos, but they always end up looking good!

The Jacobs family originally contacted me to do a senior session for Laura who graduated from college a few weeks ago, but in the end decided it would be fun to get the entire family including the dogs photographed!
