ANGELA + SAM | WEDDING

December 28, 2009

This was my last wedding of 2009!!!  Angela + Sam had an amazingly beautiful fall wedding at the Ambassador Campus in Pasadena.  I absolutely fell in love with the Ambassador Campus!  It’s such a beautiful venue!!!

Having known Angela + Sam since college it’s been such a blessing to see their relationship blossom and I’m so thrilled they’re married!  This wedding was full of heartfelt moments and so much laughter.  I need to give both Angela + Sam major props because they were both really sick on their wedding day, but you can’t tell from the photos!  They were drinking cold medicine like juice and moments before the ceremony having to use throat spray so they can say their vows loud enough for others to hear!  I’m so happy for you guys and I wish the both of you much love and happiness in your marriage!

A big thank you to Louis Trinh for coming out to 2nd shoot for me! He captured a lot of beautiful images!!!

DARA + ROHIT | WEDDING

December 2, 2009

Hello from Korea!  I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving!  I’m here in Korea for vacation, but I’ve been working hard to get all my weddings edited so keep checking the blog because I have plenty of updates coming!!!

If I could describe Dara + Rohit’s wedding, I think I would choose to say it was like an adult children’s party!  The bright colors, balloons, fun activities, and casual setting made this wedding super memorable.  The day went smoothly and they got to spend a lot of time with their family and friends which was what they really wanted to do!  Thank you so much for letting me capture these moments for you.  And a huge thank you to Ian Lee for capturing some awesome moments as well!!!

Ian got this awesome pic of Dara getting ready

First look

I just loved this angle Ian caught of the ring shot

So fun!!!!

My favorite!

JASIA + DANIEL | WEDDING

November 4, 2009

I was so excited to shoot Jasia + Daniel’s wedding!  The weather was absolutely perfect compared to the dreaded SF fog we experienced the whole week prior.  I think Jasia + Daniel did an amazing job planning their wedding while busy with their residency and living in Southern California!  A big thank you to Clarence Harvey for assisting me on this wedding!

Location – Sutro Heights Park
Reception – Koi Palace

We started the day off at the Palace of Fine Art to do their first look and portraits!

One of my favs!

One of the most unique rings I’ve seen so far!  Daniel loves surfing so they got waves engraved into his ring!!!

He came all the way from China to make this special calligraphy piece for them!

I love how they decorated their car!  The Dr. Dr. picture is hilarious!

The PHOTOWALL was a huge hit at Jasia + Daniel’s wedding!  Here are some fun images we got from the night!

If any of my current clients want to add the photowall to their wedding packages I’ll do it at a discounted rate so just shoot me an email!

This is how Jasia + Daniel felt after a long day!

APRIL + JASON | WEDDING

October 14, 2009

I went to church with April + Jason when I lived in Irvine.  Although I didn’t know them too well throughout college I was so thrilled when they hired me to shoot their wedding.  Even at their engagement session I had a feeling their wedding would be something special!  I feel like I’ve gotten to know them so much better throughout this process and I can see how they’re such a perfect fit for each other.  It was so sweet to see how Jason was so attentive to April on their big day.  He constantly asked me how she was doing and if she needed anything.  He said he just wanted everything to be perfect for her!

Get ready for a mega post!  There were just so many moments I wanted to share it was hard for me to narrow it down to show on the blog so I figured why not just post everything I want?!

I want to thank Crystal for helping me out that day!

April made all the centerpieces!

Putting a wedding dress on usually takes everyone’s help!!!

They decided to do a first look.  It was cute because Jason really wanted it to be a first look so he walked backwards all the way down before he turned around to see his beautiful bride!

For a second they couldn’t find the ring!  Everyone thought they were joking around but suddenly Jason picked up something off the ground!!!!  PHEW!

The bridal party entrance was hilarious!

April + Jason treated the guests to a few songs throughout the reception!  They were really good!!!!

Instead of clanking the glasses for a kiss they told the guests they would imitate whatever the guests did.  Their guests were not shy!!!

They had to do a combo fo these two kisses.

These kids had enough of the kissing!

They did the traditional Korean ceremony called Paebaek after the reception.

This was another wedding I got to 2nd shoot for Junshien!  Jenna and Charles had an amazing wedding with lots of cool little details.  I was also super impressed with their dancing!  I guess it helps that they dance in competitions!  I think it was the first time I wished I had a video camera with me to capture their moves!  They introduced themselves and the bridal party with their own little rendition of a scene from Enchanted (the scene when they’re at Columbus Circle in front of Central Park!)  It was so cute!

Some details!

The beautiful bride!

Their first look.

Doing the dance from Enchanted!

Their amazing first dance!  They were so good and watching them dance together was so romantic!

I caught a quiet moment of them practicing before they did their second dance of the night.

And outside for some portraits catching the last moments of the sun.

ALBUM DESIGN

May 27, 2009

I’m a huge fan of simple album designs!  I love having all the negative space around the photos and keeping it uncluttered so the viewer can be drawn into the image.  I like to follow the motto less is more!  I have to admit I find it really hard to narrow down photos because there are always so many my clients want to use, but I always try to make the album flow and tell the story of the big day!

Here’s an example of an album design I recently made!  Press play to view all the pages!

Hi!  Welcome to my brand spankin’ new blog!  I’m super excited to be able to start a new journey here.  Don’t worry my old blog still exists so if you’re bored you can head over there to take a look.  [Old Blog]

For my first post I wanted to share a very special bridal session I did a few months back!  We decided to do a little bridal session since Esther’s beautiful dress was just hanging out all lonely in her room after her wedding.  Since her wedding photos were more urban, we decided to go the complete opposite way and head out to take some photos in nature.  I had such a huge blast and even got to play around with some off camera lighting.  This just proves you can never have TOO many photos of yourself in your wedding dress!

I hope you guys like my new blog, the new photos, and don’t be shy!  Say hi and tell me a lil about yourself!
