I love love love love this very classic looking San Francisco engagement shoot, we started off at their super chic place where we played with their cats and went to the rooftop to view the city on such a beautiful day. Then we ended up going all over the city where we braved the freezing weather,  especially when we did some photos at night!  Since this shoot they had the most beautiful ceremony at this gorgeous location in Carmel that I’m equally excited to share with you all soon!

Yes…they climbed up this giant orange tree….! I was praying they wouldn’t fall off!

The spot where they had their DTR (define the relationship for those who don’t know what it means) So cute!

I shot Diane and Vince’s engagement session in SF awhile back and they’re married now!  I’m happy to share this awesome wedding with you all!  I’m also excited to share a wedding my sister, Zina assisted with me!

Jen emailed me with great news and asked me to shoot their maternity session!  Since the session I can say she gave birth to a adorable baby girl who is growing and thriving!

Emma’s dol was so much fun to photograph!  We did a quick family session first and then the celebration began!

Emma’s mom made so many of the details herself!

During the Dol celebration they have a doljabi. The parents will place certain items in front of the baby and let them choose. This will supposedly show what their future career will be Emma went straight for the ball! Who knows she might become the next Kim Yuna!

My family went to Hawaii last month!  I think this trip was SO special because it was the first time our entire family including my grandma went on vacation together since middle school or high school!  On top of it, minus my sister it was the first time we’ve all been to Hawaii!  Come to think about it, it’s so weird that I’ve traveled the world, yet going to Hawaii took this long.  It’s been a month and I’m still thinking about how much fun we had.  I can’t wait for the next time I get to go!  My family even started saving money in our lil pineapple piggy bank we got from the Dole Plantation.

We only went for 3 nights, but I really packed in the activities.  I think we did almost everything most tourists do in a week in those 3 days!  And the best part…I saw a sea turtle…swimming!  It was a dream come true for me!

Also it was probably the first time I went on vacation without my DSLR!!!  *gasp*  All these images were taken using a point and shoot (Canon S90) the underwater photos were taken using the underwater housing for the S90.  I absolutely LOVE this lil camera!

A vacation just isn’t a vacation without eating a lot of great food!

It was my first time snorkeling and what’s funny is I found out I get seasick snorkeling!  I love swimming and I normally can swim for hours, but the water was pretty rough so that took a toll on me!  My sister took a bunch of the fish photos!  Some of these fish were HUUUUUUGE!

Karly LOOOOOVED swimming so much!  She had a blast just a few days shy of her 1st birthday!

We even saw a rainbow when we got to the top of the Diamond Head hike!  Too bad it wasn’t a double rainbow

I was SO excited we got to see sea turtles, but one thing I didn’t realize was how big they were!  Also the water was so murky you couldn’t see if there was a turtle nearby and although it’s illegal for you to touch them, two of them swam into me!

I grew up in the Bay Area, but I actually never set foot on the Berkeley campus until this engagement session!!!  I know, you would think coming from a Korean family my parents would’ve made me go on a campus tour when I was five, but they really didn’t care and let me find myself on my own!

I love this campus!  How fitting was it to do their session here since it is Jenny’s alma mater and Abe frequently drove over a hour several times a week to visit her.  He once said he drove there twice in a day which basically meant 4 trips back and forth!  That’s love and a lot of bridge tolls!

Jenny was an art major so we visited her old building!

If you know Jenny she LOVES food! She introduced me to this delicious goodness in the form of an apple cloud. So yummy!
