Today is my parents 29th wedding anniversary! So I just wanted to wish them a great one and many more to come!

My parents relationship is real. They laugh, they fight, they’re really silly sometimes, they go through their ups and downs and I’m so thankful that they taught me what marriage is all about.  It’s not about being perfect, but accepting and loving each other daily.

I wish I could do something spectacular for them like send them off on a trip somewhere fabulous or give them a million dollars because they deserve it, but I can’t so instead when we see the fireworks on Sunday I’ll tell them it’s not because it’s July 4th, but it’s because everyone is celebrating their anniversary =P

So I’ll leave you guys with this photo of them. It’s not a beautifully photoshopped image with amazing light, but rather a photo taken on my BlackBerry that shows how funny my parents are. I swear, this is their default pose!!!! How cheesy can they be!

Sometimes when I meet with clients I click with them right away. Ailed + Zac were one of those couples. We sat and chatted forever and I felt like they were old friends! I had a awesome time with Ailed + Zac doing this casual engagement session. We thought the weather was going to be amazing, but it quickly turned into a cold and windy afternoon. They were troopers! I can’t wait to shoot your wedding in August!

Traveling back in time again for another wedding I assisted Junshien with!  If a wedding could come out of a fairy tale this would be it!  I loved this venue!!!  I literally felt like I traveled through a storybook into this magical land!  Enjoy!

Nanette + Doug started the day off with a Chinese Tea Ceremony and afterwards we went over to their brand new house to take photos.  Did I mention their house is absolutely beautiful?!?!  They themed their wedding around Nanette’s love for her turtles and they even got to make a special appearance in one of the photos!  The weather was so amazing and it really made me miss Southern California!  I’m so glad I was able to capture all these moments and a big thank you to Louis for assisting me!

I LOVE love love animals! So how fun was it that I got to photograph a tortoise? After this I really wanted to get one of my own!

I can’t tell you guys how much I love how photography brings me closer to people!  Diane and I went to high school together and after many years she found me and hired me to photograph her wedding!  The first time I saw Diane after all these years it felt like no time had passed by and I was absolutely excited to hear about her and Vince.

Diane had a lot of ideas for the shoot and even brought some props!  I adore how this engagement shoot turned out!!!

I met with Diane + Vince on Saturday and we started off at Balmey Alley.  I can’t tell you how much I loved this location!  It’s so colorful and fun!
